Cao¡¯e Street is an Urban-Suburb Areas in Shangyu City, which facing Baiguan Street in old urban districts across the river, as well as linking six bridges. The street covers land 40 sq.km, has arable land 10,566 Mu, 12,000 Mu forest area, 9 administrative villages, 18 neighborhood committees and 9 communities, with the 57,500 native populations and 111,300 non-native populations. In 2008, the Street achieved 4.473 billion GDP, the total value of industrial and agricultural output is 18.513 billion, in which 18.463 billion belonged to industrial output. The total number of private enterprises is 1196, and 85 large scale companies, with 54,823 employees. It fulfilled 1.346 billion industrial production inputs, in which 12 items are the city-level Major Technical Renovation Project. The contract foreign investment in this Street was 10,555 million US dollars, the actual foreign capital was 5.665 million US dollars as well as the total amount of self-management of export was 355 million US dollars. At the end of 2008, there were 5 listed companies, 7 State-level high-tech enterprises, 27 Provincial-level high-tech enterprises, 9 Provincial-level high-tech R&D centers, 1 Chinese brand product, 8 Chinese well-known trademarks, 13 Provincial brands, 30 Shaoxing Brands and 6 National exempt products.
